Unity Tutorial 02

I found lesson 1.4 to be very helpful to me as it showed while the others lessons taught me alot of the basics like how to cause the car to move and at what speed and how to work the camera and how to make it fallow physics I kept on asking my self when is it going to show me how to actually control the car and make it move left and right and not just straight with the keys and this tutorial has helped me see how to do that. 

I was not a big fan of the quiz that I had to do in challenge 1 as I much prefer being give the instruction instead of be left to figure it out by my self. I order to figure it out I had to look at past instruction videos to help jog my memories and one I did it was easy as fixing a few mistakes and bugs it much simpler then make it all from scratch.

lab 1 was also helpful as it showed me how to fill out a project design document as well as gave me one to fill out instead of leaving be to make one my self.

I have made  significant  progress in the development of my game. I have attracted the camera to the player characters as a child object in order to make the camera fallow my player when he moves and turns. However I have bean having trouble with jumping, I was fallowing the instructions from a tutorial  5 but for some reason when testing it I was only able to jump once and was not able to do it again. I and also not sure how to add the triggers to the button and the X platform as you need to interact with them to win to show that the game is won or not. (picture of me) Hello readers my name is Bernard Mac Donagh I was born in Co. Dublin on the 20th of December 2000 to Alan and Janet Mac Donagh, I have two older siblings the first born, is my brother, Alan jr and the second, is my sister, Lauren who is a doctor and I have a pet dog, a cocker spaniel named Rio. This will be my second Year at TU Dublin Blanchardstown, the course that I am doing is Creative Digital Media. My goal is to learn the different methods of design from video to poster to games. I feel like this year is going to be a bit more difficult that last year due to me us having to do everything online but once I get into a routine it will get less hard over time. After much trial and error I have managed to finish the core mechanics how my controller and jumping as well as having some animation to portions of my game with the button. However I have been having trouble with my player character jumping for infinity but with the help of my lecturer Shaun Ferns he found a way to fix it but unfortunately for some reason my player was no longer able to rotate left and right and the controls where reversed so that backward was forewords and left was right. So I decided that the infinity jump was just a small problem and abandoned trying to fix it , instead just giving my game a roof. I am know trying to animate my player movements, as of right know I have managed to give my player the idle animation but I do not know how to change to walking and running just yet but I am looking into solutions for this problem.
