Reading 11: Doing Game Design & Development 2021

After all the work, research and bibliography's I did to create my section of the paper along with all the edits all that was left was to create a list of questions in a sub section called " Check your understanding" which was for those who read the paper wanted to see if they had learned anything from reading the paper. To create the questions many are using h5p to crate something that looks  professional, h5p provided a number of different question types from the likes of true or false, fill in the blanks I decided to use multiple choice. However we did not now how to emmbed them into the paper so it was decided to leave it to are teacher Shaun Ferns. However I came upon a small problem h5p only allowed for one question so I had to make 3 different multipole choice questions.

prototype

The prototype of my game,"Shrunk" is going well, I was able to find premade furniture in the asset store that was free as well as textures so it made my life much easier when it came to making the environment for my game, a lab. I have also managed to acquire a character model to use for the player to control. Nothing has fallen through the floor yet so I am hope full that I will not experience any problems while making my game but unity can be vary tricky. I well be taking pits a pieces from past tutorials in order to make this work. However I have bean having some problems with the lighting but I believe I have fixed it. I also feel I will have to abandon a few of aspects like the coin collection in order to focuses on the core macanices of the game such as jumping and triggers but I am hoping to keep the timer. (picture of me) Hello readers my name is Bernard Mac Donagh I was born in Co. Dublin on the 20th of December 2000 to Alan and Janet Mac Donagh, I have two older siblings the first born, is my brother, Alan jr and the second, is my sister, Lauren who is a doctor and I have a pet dog, a cocker spaniel named Rio. This will be my second Year at TU Dublin Blanchardstown, the course that I am doing is Creative Digital Media. My goal is to learn the different methods of design from video to poster to games. I feel like this year is going to be a bit more difficult that last year due to me us having to do everything online but once I get into a routine it will get less hard over time. When I graduate from collage I am hoping to use the skills that I  have acquired in TU Dublin to to get a job as a graphic designer designing posters and logos.
